Our Interventional Radiologists:
Our Vascular and Interventional physicians are all board-certified, fellowship trained medical doctors who perform thousands of image-guided, minimally invasive procedures per year. Our Vascular radiologists have been trained at world-class institutions including Johns Hopkins, Harvard/MGH, the University of Florida, Stanford, the Ochsner Clinic and Boston Univeristy. Interventional Radiologists (IRs) are uniquely trained in imaging and interventional radiology procedures. IRs perform many of these types of procedures on a daily basis. In addition to medical school, a typical IR completes one year of medical or surgical internship, four years of residency training, and a one or two years of subspecialty fellowship dedicated to image-guided procedures and related clinical care. We encourage you to compare our training, academic record and experience to any other physician performing these types of procedures. Our IR Physicians primarily practice at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, but also perform procedures and treatments at St. Joseph's North Hospital in North Tampa. Contact our SDI Interventional Radiology team at (813) 348-6960 to set an appointment today. More information on the specialty of Interventional Radiology can be found at the Society of Interventional Radiology and at the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery.
